What types of items are up for auction on The Bargain Counter and which retailers are they coming from?

We literally sell everything from A – Z. From the smallest items like phone chargers to larger items like appliances, we have access to a number of different categories of products. We have products from two of the largest online retailers in the world, which is why we have such a wide range of items. No item is too big or too small.

What are the conditions of the items that are found on The Bargain Counter?

While a very large percentage of items we carry are new, not everything is. For health & safety reasons, any item that is deemed not safe is removed. We at The Bargain Counter want you to have the best possible experience, so that means full transparency on all items up for auction. We receive New, Like New, Used, Damaged, Missing Parts and Unsaleable. All items requiring batteries or some form of power are tested before being listed for auction. In the ad description, any details that we have will be given, even if it means adding more pictures. The more we know about an item, the more you’ll know.

What about refunds and returns?

Once the buyer has placed a bid and won the item, it will be your responsibility to pay for the item immediately, and there will not be a refund, nor will we accept any returns. All items are sold As Is, Where Is. We will give as much information as possible about the item so you can make the judgement call on whether or not the item is right for you. Questions can be asked at any time of an item that is posted and we will respond accordingly. This is a policy that we strongly believe in, especially with Covid-19.

Will I be charged a Buyer’s Premium or any other fee?

With all of us already going through tough economic times before Covid-19 hit, our goal was to sell quality items without any of the extra fees. We want to help you stretch out your hard earned and limited dollars, so therefore we believe it’s not necessary. This policy may not work for some, but it definitely works for us. There is no Buyer’s Premium or any other hidden fee on any purchase from us. That is our guarantee to you.

When is The Bargain Counter open for business and what makes this auction house different than others?

Starting Friday May 15, 2020 our Family & Friends Test Auctions will start off with 100+ items. New items are added every day and end after 48 hours. We believe this adds much more excitement than waiting for the usual one week auctions to end. This also means that with items only up for 48 hours, there is a greater chance that you’ll have a successful bid and for a much lower price. We have a lot of product to auction off, so there will never be too long of a wait to see new items. Everyone is encouraged to join us in this initial auction and to help spread the word about our amazing little auction house with the amazing prices, free membership option and especially NO BUYER PREMIUMS to pay. Check out our Blog for new information.

What are the current payment and pick up/delivery options?

With Covid-19 cases slowing down, we still feel it’s important that we respect the mandatory personal boundaries that are set by the Government until restrictions are fully lifted. Right now, e-transfers and online credit cards are the safest form of money exchange. The only contact you would have with any of The Bargain Counter staff would be when you came to pick up your purchases.

All payments can be done through your email notifying you of your win. There is a pay option at the bottom of the email and you can choose the payment option that works best for you.

No shipping currently due to Covid-19, but this is to be added at an undetermined date.
